The Executive Board
The Executive Board of CARD oversees activities and strategic planning and decision making in the organization. The specific responsibilities of the Executive Board are; i) Establishing general policies and objectives for the organization, ii) Selecting, appointing and reviewing the performance of executives, iii) Evaluating the availability of financial resources, etc. The Executive Board has representation of active members of CARD Governing Board. The Executive Board acts on behalf of the CARD Board in the day to day operations of the organisation. The Executive Board comprises of the Chairman, Member Secretary, Treasurer and an active Member of GC/GB each. The three senior members play the role of mentors and provide need-based guidance and support to the two full time active executive members (ED and GS) directly involved in running the organisation.

ED directs all the activities of the Organization and remains responsible for the affairs of the organization. The key functions / responsibilities include;
She is expected to ensure smooth functioning of the organization by empowering and guiding the General Secretary and other office bearers. Direct and manage all projects and studies from the planning stage to the implementation / withdrawal stage. Develop linkages with National, Bilateral Agencies for furtherance of interests of the organization. As an authorized representative sign new contracts and agreements for projects / studies / consultancies of National / Bilateral Projects and Studies, or assign other office Bearers for the purpose.
She will be supported in discharging Administrative responsibilities by the General Secretary in Finalising/ overseeing all important documents (projects proposals, progress reports, project reports, broachers, etc). Visit / monitor the projects of CARD for guidance and infield handholding through periodical field visits depending upon the project priorities. Guide GS in appointments and setting terms and conditions of senior level consultants. She will insure compliance with all state and federal guidelines for regulatory and other compliances.
Guide the evaluation and monitoring wing of CARD and provide liaison support. Develop and coordinate internal monitoring, learning and evaluation systems of CARD. Guide GS in establishing training Centres of CARD as Centres of Excellence.
Head the "prevention of Harassment committee" and ensure a work environment free of discrimination and sexual harassment.
Dr Swati Sharma
General Secretary
GS is responsible for all Administrative Functions of CARD. The key functions / responsibilities include; Head routine Administrative Functioning directly and through other office bearers, Issue orders / note sheets in all administrative matters. Issue appointment letters, increments, promotions, demotions, warnings, and termination letter to CARD staff (regular / project / contractual) in consultation with concerned OICs and with approval of the ED. Review all important documents (projects proposals, progress reports, project reports, broachers, etc), As Administrative Head perform the role of goodwill ambassador of CARD and help develop/ celebrate the annual events of CARD. Directly Guide the relevant team in preparation of annual report of CARD and it's distribution. Ensure that the provisions of HR Policies and Financial discipline are followed. Help ED in developing linkages with National, Bilateral Agencies for furtherance of interests of the organization.
She is authorized to sign new contracts and agreements for projects / studies / consultancies of National / Bilateral Projects and Studies, or assign other office Bearers for the purpose in consultation with Executive Director. Oversee the entire budget and business efforts plan future growth of the organizations with limited financial resources.
Prakash Bannapure
Treasurer:
As head of the Finance and Accounts of the organization, his key functions / responsibilities include; to get the Annual Audit / Project Audit / Regional Field Office Audits done in time. To submit all statements / documents related to the Income Tax Department. To supervise preparation of Utilisation Certificates, Financial Progress Reports by the concerned officers and its submission as per the time plan. To ensure that all the relevant documents related to the society are duly submitted to the registrar societies annually. To ensure that the delegation of financial powers as described under the manual of financial management of CARD are followed. To overall, guide the F&A division to maintain all the accounts of the organization and make expenditures as per the sanction / directions. He is authorized to sign new contracts and agreements for projects / studies / consultancies.
Amresh Saxena

As one of the founders will continue supporting Chairman in his vision and act as aide to ED and GS in implementing the strategy. His focus areas are:
• Growth, expansion, way to improve organisation process and sustenance;
• Visit, monitor review and all the projects of CARD;
• mentoring, increased sponsor’s satisfaction, establishing the best practices across organisation; and
• Developing linkages with National, Bilateral Agencies, Corporate Houses for furtherance of interests of the organization.
Dr Vivek Sharma
Chairman:
Being the founder, the Chairman is expected to guide the organization in its quest for learning and development, building vision and extending its scope of works. He will provide overall leadership to enhance the effectiveness and performance of the Executive Board and act as an adviser and confidant to the ED/GS in developing organisational strategies, establishing new relationships and networking; fund raising; fostering ethical and responsible decision making, maintaining accountability and to facilitate growth. As the organization is in expansion stage, the Chairman (being the visualizer / perceiver of the organisation) is expected to play guiding role in setting standards, ethos, values, etc. Build the development perspectives of field teams of CARD through infield handholding and visioning support. He will be expected now to take the organisation to the next level through establishing knowledge exchange platforms and improve visibility of CARD across the country.
