Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra, Ujjain
By the year 2020 India would be the country of youngest population in the world and our average age of population would be 29 years. To provide skilled work force to other country and at the same time to meet out the skilled manpower requirement of our industries, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship(MSDE) has launched an ambitious programme, to provide quality skill training with placement assistance under the skill mission of India as “Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) It has been planning further, to establish visible and aspirational model training centers in every district of our country. These training centers will be state of the art Training Centers, called Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK). These centers will be exclusive, iconic and will be marketed as the best-in- class skill development centers. The process of identification of suitable building for Ujjain PMKK, was started last year and finally the building was finalized in the month of July 2017 .The construction work has been complete in the month of September 2017 and final sign off has been completed on 15 October 2017.Inouragation ceremony of well- equipped Ujjain PMKK was done on 8th December and first batch of training has been started on 17th December2017. The existing PMKK building is attractive having prime location of Ujjain city and near well-known Hotel Anjushree. The building has 5 classrooms, 5 labs,1 common lab and classroom, a common room for staff, some open space at ground floor for parking. Since beginning PMKK, Ujjain is imparting quality skill training on General Duty Assistant, Junior Software Developers, Domestic Data Entry Operator, Sewing Machine Operator and Field Technician Other Home Appliances, Job Roles to Rural and Urban youth of Ujjain District. The total enrolled candidate till 31 st March 2018 was 743. The total enrolment target for the financial year 2017-18 was 820 candidates and PMKK achieved more than 90% of target within very limited time of hardly 4 months. All PMKK teams are experienced, matured and professionally managing all its activities.
